TRUTH OVER THE LIE

TRUTH OVER THE LIE

“To prove I wasn’t a mistake.”

These 6 words encompass the crux, in my opinion, of the movie Creed I.

This was the response of the character Adonis Johnson (Creed) when asked, “Prove What?”
These 6 words struck a chord in me because they caused me to think about the lie I, too, once believed, that I was a mistake for many years until God healed and set me free in that area of my life.

I remember before I was healed with the truth of God, I strove to prove people wrong about me. People like my dad, some teachers, and anyone I felt wasn’t rooting for me to succeed.

I was so distracted with proving myself, going after what others said I couldn’t do, that I was missing out on the freedom and joy that comes from living a life God had already predestined for me.

One of the most common verses Christian believers hear and hopefully heed is Jeremiah 29:11, ” For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. “

The same God who spoke to the prophet Jeremiah has a plan for you as well. Remember, God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34).

To be positioned to help anyone else, Purpose Driven Educator, you must be healed of lies that you’ve accepted as truth.

Today is your day to be healed of any lie that has been the driving force behind your motivation. The Scripture, Philippians 1:6, states, God is the one who began this good work in you, and I am certain that he won’t stop before it is complete on the day that Christ Jesus returns.”

God wants to help you because He loves you and truly wants the best for you.

Pray this prayer:

Dear Father, You are the One who has already accepted me and predestined me for greatness. I repent God for believing lies over the truth. Lord, You are Lord over my life. Open my eyes and ears to see and hear your truth over the lies. Reveal Your Word to me of who I am in You, that it may wash me clean, that I may walk in the freedom of new life as You see fit. I love You, God, and I bless Your name. Amen.

Once you have prayed this prayer, wait and see what God enlightens to you and be open to receiving what only He wants for your life.
